I fell in love Knowing of his disease Also knowing the pain Would not soon ease We live, we love We share, we cry Dreading the unforsaken Day that he shall die With the hope of better times We go on day by day As I watch him Slowly and painfully decay When the time comes For him to part I know there will not be Much left of my heart I do realize If I never love again That I've had something extraordinary With a very, very special man Who will forever have possession of my Heart
